Chocolate buttercream frosting combines melted butter with cocoa, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract.
Ingredients -
1/3 cup Butter
3 tablespoons Cocoa
2 2/3 cup Powdered Sugar
1/3 cup Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Preparation:
1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter on the stove and add the cocoa.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Remove from the stove and cool for 15 minutes.
4. Add the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla.
5. Put on cakes, cupcakes, or cookies.

Confectioners sugar and powdered sugar are the same thing. Both will be called for when making frosting. Don’t substitute any other sugar, the results will not be desirable.
